1938/9 Frankie toured East Coast and NZ with the Big Apple Dancers in a production called 'The Hollywood Revue' See history and photos on (updated website now shown here):

Jan 1994 Rob Bloom (from London) visits Melbourne, Canberra & Sydney and teaches Lindy Hop to friends & some r'n'rollers. [Rob's London influences were Ryan Francois, Julie Oram, Sing Lim & Simon Selman]
mid-1994 Another London Lindy Hopper, Trish Danelle (who is from Melbourne), visits her friends Glenn & Rachel and shows them Lindy Hop & Charleston. They start incorporating these movements in their rockn'roll social dancing and competitions.
Dec 1994 Rob Bloom visits Melbourne teaches Lindy to Jim & Ronda Pollock, teaches in Canberra to rock'n'roller teachers Rose & Eddie Fuderer

Sep 1997 Colin Corlass-Brown and Pat Noakes form Melbourne’s Lindy School ‘Lindy Bugs’ later known as Swing-Train
Oct 1997 Steven Mitchell & Anna Sandesjö tour nationally to Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne, with Rob Bloom and Wayne Blair as the organisers. Yvonne Kower & Greg McNamara run the very successful "Hoppin' at the Hydro" in Sydney's Blue Mountains, which continued for for 4 years, morphing into "Hoppin' with the Hotshots"

Mar 2009 Melbourne Swing Festival featuring mainly Aussie teachers (first time no international lineup): Roger Schmidlin (Perth & Zurich, Switzerland), Sophie Yesberg (Perth), Cam Mitchell, Shaz Callaghan, Josh McKiterick and Noni Clarke, included the 3rd year of the swing comp 'Melbourne Lindy Battle'.
